R&D Project Manager

To accomplish this, our Fibres Division is seeking an R&D Project Manager who can develop groundbreaking products, services, and processes to meet our sustainability and business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities and Key Tasks:

  • Identify and define customer requirements, thoroughly analyzing their specific needs.
  • Develop and design innovative processes, products, and solutions.
  • Conduct functional tests on models, processes, or prototypes, including trials, laboratory tests, pilot workshops, and pre-production runs.
  • Prepare and facilitate industrialization processes.
  • Manage the execution of projects as the project manager, ensuring adherence to schedules, resource allocation, and budgets.
  • Oversee and coordinate the efforts of both internal and external collaborators, including partnerships with laboratories and external authorities.
  • Lead steering committees during project launch phases, setting objectives, planning, prioritizing actions, and defining completion deadlines. Also, manage project follow-up phases, including progress reports, project reviews, and compliance with budgets and deadlines.
  • Document and prepare patent applications, handling industrial property in-house or with the support of a specialist firm.
  • Provide technical assistance, guidance, and training to various project stakeholders, especially during optimization or the implementation of new processes or products.

 
 
Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Hold a MSc or Ph.D. in Chemistry or Sustainable Materials Engineering or possess equivalent experience.
  • Have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in R&D projects.
  • Having experience in the non-woven industry is a big plus.
  • Understanding and experience in geotextile applications is important.
  • Demonstrate a result-driven and ambitious approach.
  • Be an effective communicator who values teamwork.

 
Language Proficiency:

  • Proficiency in English is a must, any other language skills are nice to have.
